Summer fun in October?! Our annual trip to California was a blast.

Beth's Fifth Birthday Party!

B wanted to have a "Cooking Birthday Party" so we made our own pizzas for lunch and decorated the birthday cake. It was so fun she is already talking about how she is going to have another "Cooking Birthday Party" next year. We go shopping and she will see something and say "Mom can I get that for my birthday when I turn six?" It's gonna be a while.

We took a two week session of swim lessons at Dive Utah when we were in Salt Lake. The kids loved it and learned a lot. I just think everyone looks great in goggles. That's a look that will never go out of style. Also there are a couple pics of the girls in Grandma Vics Jacuzzi tub. We are big fans of the tub in my family (as many of you know). I even had a bubble bath birthday party when I was young. We had an oddly huge and shallow jacuzzi tub in our old house.

We blessed Matthew on Sunday, March 26th, 2009.  Tommy gave him a beautiful blessing and his name is officially Matthew Henderson Skidmore.  The day went really well but I have to say it is very different to not have all the family around like we are used to for these kinds of events.  I kind of thought, what if it is just Tommy and the bishop in the circle?  but we had some good friends and our home teacher go up too so it was great.

Thanks to Grandpa Scott, Grandma Vic, Aunt Eliza, and Grandma Stormy for coming out to Cincinnati to help with the new baby.  Also, thank you to all our friends, family and neighbors who have brought meals, watched my kids, run carpools and especially prayed for us.  I don't know what we would do with out everyone's love and support.  Thank You!

Our baby boy is here!!!

He arrived right on his due date--Valentines Day!  His name is Matthew Valentino Skidmore (j/k we haven't figured out a middle name yet, but that would be a pretty awesome one).  He weighed in at 7lbs. 9oz. and is already up to 8lbs. as of this morning.  The labor was extremely long so we are glad he is finally here safe and sound.  It is so fun having a newborn  again.
